Mass Creativity 2025

We’re excited to announce the 13th annual Mass Creativity, The New Children’s Museum’s signature program that celebrates art, imagination, and community!

This year’s theme, Rooted Futures, invites families to imagine more just, joyful, and inclusive futures—grounded in identity, culture, and community. We’re proud to be collaborating with local artist Natalie M. Godinez (she/her) to bring this theme to life through dynamic, hands-on art experiences across San Diego.

Here’s what to look forward to:

  • Free, artist-led community workshops in May in partnership with our 2025 community partners

  • Interactive art-making that celebrates the vibrancy and creativity of our communities

  • A grand celebration on Mass Creativity Day, happening Saturday, June 14, 2025, with music and dance performances, food vendors, community art displays, and free admission to the Museum for all!

Stay tuned for workshop locations, partner announcements, and more details—we can’t wait to create a Rooted Future with you!

2025 Collaborating Artist

Meet our collaborating artist for the 13th annual Mass Creativity program: Natalie M. Godinez (she/her/ella)!

Natalie is a Los Angeles based artist, educator and community advocate raised in Tijuana, México. Her work focuses on memories, identity, and relationships to places and language through textiles, printmaking, and collaboration.

As a former NCM employee, we are overjoyed to welcome Natalie back to the Museum and work with her as this year’s collaborating artist!
