Mass Creativity 2022

Mass Creativity is the Museum’s signature outreach program, bringing hands-on, art-making opportunities to diverse communities in San Diego. This year’s 10th annual Mass Creativity program started with free Imaginative Storytelling workshops held at seven community centers, in which families told their community’s story by creating pages of a collective book through painting, drawing and collaging. The workshops then culminated on Mass Creativity Day (held June 25), an outdoor celebration of art, creativity and community at The New Children’s Museum, where the seven different community pages were pieced together and displayed!

For 2022, we partnered with the following community centers:

Barrio Logan College Institute
Casa Familiar
City Heights Weingart Library
Skyline Hills Library
The San Diego LGBT Center
Solutions for Change
SBCS
