When school is out, The New Children’s Museum offers a creative place for kids to spend their days. Spring Day Camps run March 30 through April 3, combining hands-on art making, creative games, and time to explore the Museum’s art studios and interactive galleries.
Each camp day is thoughtfully designed to support curiosity, creative confidence, and meaningful play in a safe, welcoming Museum environment. Families can register for individual days or sign up for the full week, offering flexibility for spring break schedules.

Camp pricing is the same for both members and non-members. Camps are $110 per day.
Camp Overview
Each Spring Camp day features its own theme. One day, kids might create paper costumes and puppets. On another, they could build soft sculptures or design their own imagined world. Camps are organized by age, with separate classes for ages 5–7, 8–10, and 11–13 to support developmentally appropriate creativity and collaboration.

Spring Camp: Art Breaks are designed to build creativity, confidence, and connection, giving kids the space to make, experiment, and play in a supportive Museum environment.
Days + Themes
Monday, March 30: Teatro Pinata: Paper Playhouse
Enter the mysterious world of David Israel Reynoso’s (he/him) Teatro Pinata and create your own costume and characters- all made from paper! Campers will make paper wearables and puppets and activate their creations with light and shadow
Tuesday, March 31: Wobbleland: Felt Feast
Make it gigantic! Campers will consider Marisol Rendón’s (she/her) Wobbleland, a giant kitchen sink installation in which visitors can interact with oversized pieces of food, as they create their own soft sculptures inspired by household objects.
Wednesday, April 1: Odyssey: Imagined Landscapes
Inspired by Cannupa Hanska Luger’s (he/him) Future Ancestral Technologies: Odyssey installation, campers will create their own invented landscapes out of cardboard and decide when, where, how and why this place exists
Thursday, April 2: The Wonder Sound: Flora and Fauna
Use recycled materials to investigate the complex world of Wes Bruce’s (he/him) The Wonder Sound. Campers will learn about native plants and animals while creating their own meaningful, whimsical symbols.
Friday, April 3: El Mas Alla: Faces and Feelings
What does a sad face look like? What does a happy face look like? What does a just stepped in a puddle and now my socks are wet face look like? Campers will look to Panca’s expansive El Mas Alla as they create playful collages and stamps to examine both their feelings and the way others express themselves
