The New Children’s Museum invites you to Studio 200, a gala unlike any event you’ll attend this year! Join us on Saturday, October 14 for music, entertainment, food, drinks and art-making, all set in the Museum’s contemporary multi-level downtown venue.
Get ready for high-energy music, creative cocktails and fine cuisine as our contemporary multi-level venue is transformed into the hottest set of clubs this side of the Gaslamp. Keep it cool in the jazz club with youth performers, Dharma Jazz. Then work your way through a seriously groovy 70s club featuring local favorite Atomic Groove, a totally rockin’ 80s venue with San Diego mix master extraordinaire Junior the Disco Punk, and a high-energy Top 40 dance floor with DJ Baltazar.
While the music is going, explore the Museum’s many galleries and indulge your creativity with themed art-making activities. When you need to give your feet a break from dancing, channel your creativity in the Innovators LAB, our interactive art-making studio. Our team of artists has created a unique project just for this event!
After taking an adventure through the various clubs of the Museum, join us for an auction and raffle drawing. Taking inspiration from our arts-based mission, we are featuring some incredible prize packages, including a “Night at the Museum” sleepover and several other Big City Art Experiences that include airfare, hotel, behind-the-scenes artist experiences, dining, and more.
