Museum Happenings

Have you met the new addition to the Museum? Getting messy and painting on our Paint & Clay Patio has been a visitor favorite throughout our history. Over the years, we’ve invited little visitors to paint several different vehicles, including a VW bug, tractor, and covered wagon. We’ve said “happy trails” to the Go West wagon and are excited to welcome our NEW Dodge Flower Truck!

The Museum celebrated with a special opening for our members where we danced to 50s music in honor of our retro truck and little artists gave Flower Truck its first color change! Come meet our newest Studio installation and give this pick-up a makeover with the Museum Color of the Day.

Be sure to submit your own #tbt photos from previous painted objects through social media or email. Your photo could be highlighted in the new installation party or featured on our social media!

In addition to the exciting changes on our Paint & Clay Patio, we are creating new interactive experiences within the Museum with an update to our Community Gallery as well. Visit us this month to explore new adventures in this shared space!

With a week of fun and engaging activities, camp attendees will have the opportunity to learn new artistic techniques and make life-long memories. Registration for Summer Camps is now open! Our Museum offers camps that are project-based and taught by professional artists and educators. Camps at our Museum combine hands-on art-making activities, creative games and playtime in the park with the opportunity for children to think, play, and create in the Museum’s galleries. Our camps encourage children to work individually and in small groups, offering a variety of activities for campers of all ages from June 11 – August 10. All camps include classroom time for projects and learning new skills as well as opportunities for physical play in the Museum and its outdoor play spaces. Camps fill up quickly, so register soon!
