Party Place Package

Everyone attending the party counts toward the guest count, including the birthday child, their family, children, adults, and Museum members. Adults count even if they’re only supervising children or sitting in the party room. Babies under age one do not count. Museum memberships and general admission tickets cannot be used for party entry.

Additional guests are $20 per person, up to the party room’s maximum capacity. This limit is set by fire code, so please plan your invitations around it. If more guests arrive than the room can hold, they will not all be able to enter the party room at the same time.

How long do we have the party room?
Birthday parties include two hours in a private party room. You and your guests are welcome to enjoy the Museum for the rest of the day.

Can we reserve the room for longer?
You can book both the morning and afternoon slots and receive 10% off your total booking. Other extensions generally aren’t available due to the party schedule, but you can email birthdays@thinkplaycreate.org to discuss your plans.

Will the exhibits be reserved for our party?
The party room is exclusively yours during your reserved time. The Museum’s exhibits remain open to all visitors.

Can we host a party after hours?
Birthday parties take place during public Museum hours. For a larger event after hours, email events@thinkplaycreate.org about event rentals.

You’re welcome to arrive 30 minutes before your party to set up. After the party, you’ll have another 30 minutes to pack up your belongings.

Food and drinks are not included in the birthday party package. You’re welcome to bring your own or arrange delivery from a vendor. Please plan to provide anything you’ll need to serve them, including ice. Alcohol and open flames are not permitted. We can also share a list of recommended vendors if you’d like some ideas.

Please plan for at least one adult for every five children. Adults should stay with and supervise the children in their group while they explore the Museum.

You’re welcome to play music in your reserved party space. A Bluetooth speaker or sound system is provided, depending on the room. Please choose music that’s appropriate for all ages.

We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel your party, here’s how refunds work:

• 30 or more days before your party: You’ll receive a refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
• 14–29 days before your party: You’ll receive a refund of 50% of the booking fee.
• Fewer than 14 days before your party: The booking fee is nonrefundable.
