Birthday parties at The New Children’s Museum are a great way to celebrate your little one’s big day! We offer a range of birthday party packages at our downtown location based on party size and location. Review our party packages below then fill out our birthday party request form!

REQUEST A BIRTHDAY PARTY

Party Basics:

  • Days: Thursday-Monday
  • Party Times: 9:30-11:30am or 1:30-3:30pm
  • Location: Party room varies based on party size and capacity (downtown location)
  • Pricing: $200 – $1,200 based on package
  • Food/drink: Guests may bring their own (or order from the Museum’s Bean Sprouts Café)
  • Members: 10% discount on all packages + one free add-on
  • Military: 10% discount on all packages

All Parties Include:

  • Museum admission for your entire party
  • Reserved birthday space for 2 hours
  • 1 free admission pass for each child in party to visit the Museum at a later date
  • Access for party guests to play in the Museum (entire day of party)
  • 1 free parking spot for Birthday Family in Museum garage
  • Museum gift bag for the Birthday Child
  • Access to party space 30 minutes prior to party to set up

Birthday Party Packages

The LAB Package - $500 (Member Price: $450)

  • Private party place, the Innovators LAB, reserved for two hours
  • Number of total guests: up to 15 people
  • Hands-on art activity led by Teaching Artist for the birthday child and their guests with take-home art
  • Dedicated Party Concierge during the two-hour party (assist birthday parent during party and taking gifts to car afterward)

Note: This package is designed for ages 6+.

Playroom Package - $750 (Member Price: $675)

  • Private party space in our Arts Education Center, reserved for two hours
  • Exclusive access to our kids’ library adjacent to party space
  • Number of total guests: up to 40 people
  • Dedicated Party Concierge during the two-hour party (assist birthday parent during party and taking gifts to car afterward)

In the Trees Package - $1,200 (Member Price: $1,080)

  • Private party space on upstairs patio overlooking Island Avenue and Museum Park, reserved for 2.5 hours
  • Number of total guests: up to 50 people
  • Dedicated Party Concierge during the two-hour party (assist birthday parent during party and taking gifts to car afterward)

Optional Add-Ons

  • $50: Instructor-led activity, plus an additional $5 per child to take home creation
  • $50: Museum-branded décor and paper goods, including birthday sign, table cover, plates, napkins and utensils
  • $25: Story Time or Dance Party
  • $50: Party Room Cleanup by Museum staff

Museum members may select one add-on from the above list at no additional charge (Note: $5 per child cost still applies for instructor-led activities).

If you have questions regarding birthdays at the Museum, please contact birthdays@thinkplaycreate.org. Our event coordinator responds to inquiries Mondays and Thursdays between 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Based on staffing concerns, birthday parties must be booked 2 weeks prior to the party date.
