How much does a party at the Museum cost?
$300 for members/$350 for non members, for up to 25 guests; $14 for each guest after that.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, $100 secures your date and time, which will be credited to your party total after the event.
How long is the party?
The private party room is available for use for a maximum of 2 hours. However, guests are welcome to explore the Museum outside of the private party room for as long as they want during open hours.
How soon can I get in to set up?
We allow parents inside the private party room 15 minutes prior to the party start time for set up and 15 minutes after the 2-hour time limit to clean up.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food, cake and non-alcoholic drinks. Our Bean Sprouts cafe is also available to cater your birthday party. We allow drop-off catering, but we do not allow outside caterers to work onsite. Refrigeration and heating are not available (no sternos, chafers, crock pots or anything that may require power). Please refer to list of prohibited items at the bottom of this page.
Can I bring balloons?
No, we do not allow balloons in the Museum. Please see list of prohibited items at the bottom of this page.
Where do my guests park?
The birthday family gets one free parking spot in the Museum parking garage. The Museum offers limited parking in our garage, which can be accessed from Front or Union Streets at a cost of $15 per car (weekend rate). In addition, metered parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood and there are numerous public parking lots in the vicinity of the Museum. The ABM lots allows a discount to customers that use the code 8792 (the last 4 digits of our phone number).
Who are counted as "guests" in my headcount?
Everyone over 12 months old. That means parents and even members are counted too! Remember, we can only accommodate up to 50 people in the private party room. If you have more than 50 people, we can discuss a couple of other options for you.

What are in the goody bags?
Our branded Museum goody bags come with an eraser, bubbles, pencil and crayons. You can add these to your party for just $3/bag!
The following items are not allowed inside the Museum for birthday parties:
