Our guest headcounts are in accordance with fire code laws for our building. Please organize your guest amount to accommodate only this number of people. If your guest count goes over on the day of the event, we will not allow for all guests to be in the room at the same time.
All adults, children, members of the birthday family, and the birthday child should be included in the headcount. Invited guests who are members of the museum still need to be included in the headcount.
Adults who will only be watching their child during playtime/only sitting in the party room also need to be included in the headcount. Babies under the age of 1 do not need to be included within the headcount.
Although we are unable to extend the time for the party rooms due to the structure of our parties, we invite all guests to stay and enjoy the museum for the duration of the day.
While we can’t reserve specific exhibit spaces, we do offer a designated party room for your exclusive use. All exhibits and other sections of the museum will remain open for everyone to enjoy.
Yes, the Museum is open to the public during the hours in which the birthday party will occur. If you would like a larger-scale after-hours event, please reach out to us at events@thinkplaycreate.org for event rental information.
The birthday family gets one free parking spot in the Museum parking garage. The Museum offers limited parking in our garage, which can be accessed from Front or Union Streets at a cost of $15 per car (Friday-Sunday rate). In addition, metered parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood and there are numerous public parking lots in the vicinity of the Museum. The ABM lot on 450 2nd Avenue allows a 2-hour discount to customers that use the code 8792 (the last 4 digits of our phone number) – this is subject to change at any time at ABM’s discretion.
Food is not included in the party package cost. Bean Sprouts Café is our exclusive food provider. Outside catering is not allowed except for cake and non-alcoholic beverages.
Bean Sprouts is proud to offer healthy allergy-friendly food offerings! In the event that Bean Sprouts cannot accommodate the dietary restrictions of your party or guest, you are able to bring in your own food and snacks.
