Artopia: NCM Creative Studios is the creative heart of The New Children’s Museum’s expansion, offering hands-on art experiences in San Diego for children, teens, adults, and families. This vibrant studio space features artist-led workshops, drop-in art making, and creative programs designed to spark imagination, build skills, and invite experimentation. Artopia is also available for private event rentals, making it an inspiring setting for birthdays, group events, and community gatherings.
Located next door, the Education Commons is a dedicated learning hub for early childhood programs, school workshops, educator trainings, and collaborative learning experiences.
Registration is now open for our Afterschool Art Series and Youth Ceramics: At the Wheel workshops for ages 8–13. Plus, enjoy holiday art making in Artopia on Saturdays and Sundays until Jan 4, free with Museum admission and open to all ages.
