“Be your own superhero and love yourself!”

What better way to celebrate “Superhero Summer” than an action-packed night at the Museum? Superheroes’ Night Out is our favorite way to applaud and play with our little heroes. Register today and plan to come dressed as your favorite superhero (or at least don a cape) to enjoy dinner, drinks, entertainment, activities, prizes and so much more.

In preparation for this heroic event, we asked our Membership and Visitor Services Manager, Anne, some questions on what it’s like to be our very own superhero at the New Children’s Museum.

What is the most super thing about working at The New Children’s Museum?
I get to work with the best people – every person that works here is a Superhero!

When you’re not working as a hero here at the Museum, what do you enjoy doing?
When I hang up my cape at the end of the day, I like to pull up my knee pads for some indoor volleyball, lace up my sneakers for a power walk on the beach, rev up my engine to visit family, pack my suitcase for a trip somewhere, or post up in bed for binge watching TV or movies.

If you were a superhero, what would your super powers be?
Even though I’m scared of heights, I would want to fly. I figure if I were a superhero I wouldn’t be afraid of anything, so I could soar anywhere!

Name something that you’re great at doing that makes you a real-life superhero!
I don’t know if this make me a superhero or just super annoying, but I have a tendency to listen to multiple conversations at one time.

Tell us a fact that most people don’t know about you.
I can make a crying baby sound that sounds just a little too real.

Who is your favorite superhero, and why?
Princess Leia or R2D2 – they are both superheroes in my book because they both have attitude!

Who would really win the fight: Superman or Batman?
I haven’t finished watching the movie, so I am not sure who actually wins on the big screen, but I am going to bet on Superman since he is the man of steel and all Batman has are his “bat gadgets.”

In your opinion, what is the best way to become a superhero in real life?
Be true to yourself with who you are and what you believe in. Be your own superhero and love yourself!

What can visitors do at the Museum to feel like a hero?
There are so many ways to explore your creative side at the Museum – unleash your inner creativity super power and let your mind soar through the possibilities!
