April Member Spotlight: Katie Ferraro
Meet Katie Ferraro and her family! Katie is a mom to seven kids and has been a loyal member of the Museum. Katie visits us often to keep all of her kiddos entertained. With a wide range of hands-on activities and sensory-driven installations, this bunch always enjoys their time here. The Ferraro family has had many giggles in Wobbleland, attended a number of Members Only Time events and they even attended our most recent Museum photoshoot (pictured above)!
Tell us about you and your family!
K: We have seven children ages four and under: a four year old singleton, three year old quadruplets and baby twins. We live in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego and love taking advantage of all that our city has to offer! We’ve been members at the Museum for three years.
What brought you to the Museum?
K: I used to live in the next block on Island Ave. (across from Cafe 222) and I always thought, “If I ever have kids, I would love to check The New Children’s Museum out!” I love the architecture of the building, all of the natural light inside and my children always have a blast there.
What has been your favorite experience so far?
K: We used to attend the Sunday morning Members Only activities and I loved how intimate it was during that time period.
Any fun facts about you?
K: I am an infant feeding specialist and dietitian, so my work focuses on feeding healthy families. I love the Museum’s food offerings and that they value healthy eating!
