Studio 200: The UnGala

In 2020 we took a different approach to our annual Studio 200 Gala. Instead of “partying with a purpose” at the Museum, we focused on raising funds for our arts access and community outreach programs through The UnGala version of our Studio 200 event and as part of our reNEWing Hope fundraising efforts. In lieu of buying a Gala ticket, we asked to consider making a gift to help us serve more people in need through our access programs. With your support we were able to connect more students and families to creative tools to help process the events in our world today!

During our closure to the public, we worked tirelessly behind the scenes with our community partners and social service organizations to respond to their needs — expanding, transforming and amplifying our programs. We are provided creative supplies and tools to aid with children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our response to the community included:

• Increasing our outreach to Title I schools by providing free, standards-based Virtual School Visits and classroom kits.
• Delivering Learning Kits to our pARTners in Creativity organizations.
• Designing STEAM Toolkits to provide multi-subject challenges.
• Offering artist-inspired art kits to foster the creative thinking and problem-solving skills that are
  paramount for success.
