Join us for an event with illustrator Reggie Brown inside Joyride Bookshop at The New Children’s Museum!
Reggie will read his latest book, Bros, in which a group of friends explore their neighborhood together! They play basketball, take a selfie, build a time machine, and tend to the community garden. So much to do and see, and this crew gets a full day to be silly with each other, free of expectations! From the book’s description, “Bros affirms the truth that Black boys deserve and are worthy of a childhood full of joy and free of risk, just as much as anyone. Timely and buoyant, it’s a story sure to be enjoyed by anyone who knows what it is to be surrounded by friends with a day of adventure ahead of you.”
Following the reading, Reggie will talk about the childhood experiences that led him to become an illustrator. He will then show attendees how to draw a character of their very own, and be available to sign his books!
Space is limited, register today to attend this event. Normal Museum admission rates apply. Please add one book along with the amount of tickets you’ll need for those attending the event to you cart.
Bros is geared toward children ages 4-8, but all are welcome.
The Museum will be closed on Thursday, 11/28; however we will be open every other day on Thanksgiving week from 9am-4pm, including Tuesday, 11/26. See you at NCM!
