Beginning in May, we are excited to offer NCM guests a reimagined program – Sensory Friendly Mornings! Formerly known as Accessibility Mornings, Sensory Friendly mornings will be held quarterly, and is intended for families who would enjoy and appreciate a quieter Museum environment. Using helpful feedback from visiting families, we know that they appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a quiet Museum with fewer guests and less stimulation than our general museum hours.
The Museum’s interactive art installations vary from high-sensory activities to designated sensory-break zones that provide a range of experiences for families to enjoy with comfort and safety. Join us on any of the dates listed below from 9am-11am and stay for the day if desired! No registration required.
Please note, this is no longer a free program and admission tickets, and parking will be priced at normal Museum rates. However, all our admission access programs (like Museums for All, etc.) are still available.
The Museum strives to be an inclusive and accessible space that celebrates neurodiversity and welcomes people of all needs and abilities. Learn more about our accessibility services at the Museum here. <!– Plus, check out our digital Sensory Guide of the Museum before your visit!–>
