Our November member spotlight features Alexandra Albro and her family. Alexandra has a corporate membership through ESET, a company that provides cyber security and virus protection to its users and our Innovators Lab workshop partner for the month of October. Alexandra loves exploring new things and places with her family; with all of the new happenings here at The New Children’s Museum, it’s a perfect match!

Tell us a little about your wonderful family and ESET.

A: I have three children and have been working for ESET for over 8 years. Initially, I purchased a family membership after I had my first son. We loved coming to the Museum during the members only time on Sundays. It was our favorite thing to do on the weekend. When I learned of the corporate membership, I made sure all of ESET’s employees could take advantage of the wonderful place! We have been a member for over 5 years now.

What brought you to the museum?

A: I’ve heard of the Museum from a friend of mine and so we visited the museum to see what it was like. We fell in love with it and have been a member since then.

What do you remember about your first time visiting the Museum?

A: The pink stickers and the toddler sink, although it took more months to figure out it was actually a sink!

What’s been your favorite experience so far?

A: My son taking his first steps by himself in the Museum, and the second one was the opening of The Wonder Sound. I got to meet the artist as well and it was an incredibly moving experience for me.

What is the craziest or the coolest thing you’ve created with us?

A: Usually I would just watch my children so I didn’t have much time to create myself, but when I got the chance, I made a flag!

What’s the best/funniest memory you have at the Museum?

A: The best memory is hard to describe. I love seeing the wonderment on the children’s faces when they learn something new. You see their eyes widen and they feel a sense of accomplishment. I think that’s my best experience.

Quick! What is the first word you think of when you hear The New Children’s Museum?

A: Creativity!

Corporate memberships come with a number of added benefits, including free unlimited admission for up to 6 people for each family, half off parking, discounts and more. Learn more about corporate membership opportunities on our website.
