The Museum has so many fun attractions and the constant changes of new things are really great for our family. We are expecting a new baby in August and look forward to bringing both of our kids for the next few Years.
Tweet ShareSpring has sprung! When you’re done collecting flowers outside, we have new things to offer inside at The New Children’s Museum. During our Members Only Time on Sunday, April 23, members will be able to make puppets during our Creativity Club! Additionally, our newest installation, Sketch Aquarium, has been filling up with little artists’ creations – have you made a fish in our aquarium yet?
This month we are thrilled to feature our members Ari and his parents, Rado and Yali Kalla!
Tell us a little bit about your wonderful family!
Ari is 3 1/5 and he loves going to the children’s museum, it’s been his favorite place since we started going about 2 years ago. We live across the street in the Renaissance and Ari has been living there since he was born. My wife Yali also loves going to The New Children’s Museum since it’s such a wonderful place. It has so many fun attractions and the constant changes of new things are really great for our family. We are expecting a new baby in August and look forward to bringing both of our kids for the next few Years.
Do you remember the first time visting the Museum?
Since the first time we went in February of 2015 we have not stopped going. Ari likes to go about 4-6 times per week.
What are your favorite things to do at the Museum?
Ari’s favorite thing to do is the car race track, he can’t stop playing with all the kids and race. He also loves the outdoor painting area as you can see in the pictures.
Favorite spot for lunch in San Diego?
We love going to Tajima on 9th and F Street, it’s a Asian noodle soup and has great fried rice. We also love going to Jasmine having Dim Sum and Spicy City for very authentic Chinese food, both are on Convoy near Balboa.
Who would win a Car-a-oke contest?
Yali is a wonderful singer and she would certainly win the caraoke contest in our family; she has been singing caraoke since she was a child.
Favorite weekend activity (besides visiting us, of course.)
Our favorite weekend activity is going to the beach or hanging out in Seaport Village.
Quick! What is the first word you think of when you hear New Children’s Museum?
The first word when we hear “The Children’s Museum” – absolutely fantastic !! The best place to bring your kids to play and learn. We really love all you guys at the Museum, everyone is so helpful and fun to be around.
