In 2024 and 2025, The New Children’s Museum is partnering with six multidisciplinary artists as part of our Earth(s)eed Fellowship program. Inspired by the visionary work of Octavia E. Butler, these artists explore themes of science fiction, speculative futures, reimagining, and community healing through their creative practices. Each Earth(s)eed Fellow will lead a free, intergenerational “Seed to Tree” workshop—inviting families, youth, and adults to engage in hands-on art-making while imagining bold, just futures together.
