The New Children’s Museum is proud to share that our upcoming exhibition, Octavia E. Butler: Seeding Futures, opens to the public on Saturday, March 9th! This exhibit will honor the life and legacy of award-winning science fiction writer, Octavia Estelle Butler, while offering Museum visitors the first of its kind long-term youth focused exhibit on her inspirations and early life. To celebrate the launch of this groundbreaking exhibit, we are hosting an Octavia E. Butler: Seeding Futures conversation to discuss the life, legacy, and global influence of Octavia E. Butler on Saturday, March 9 from 2-3 pm. We will explore how Butler’s work shapes our understanding of community and the future. The dialog will take place at the beautiful UC San Diego Park & Market, located Downtown in East Village. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to attend.
