Megan Dickerson is an experienced designer, curator, playworker and play advocate who currently leads exhibitions at Birch Aquarium at Scripps. In this and previous roles as Director of Exhibitions at The New Children’s Museum and Senior Manager of Community Partnerships at Boston Children’s Museum, Megan brings artists, scientists and the community together to develop emergent experiences that push the boundaries of museum practice. In addition to an undergraduate degree from UCLA and an MBA in regenerative business practices from LIFT, Megan is one of the first Americans to hold a MA degree in Play and Playwork, a practice that centers on the co-creation of flexible, adaptable spaces where people can play in the ways in which they want and need to.
