The nationwide traveling memorial to honor Black lives lost to racial injustice and systemic racism, Say Their Names, will be on view in the Museum Park, located within the M.L. King Promenade. The Memorial features 200 photos of Black victims, whose lives were lost due to racial injustice, police brutality and/or racism. The exhibit is free to the public and will be open and accessible daily from July 10-25.
The Museum is partnering with the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Arts to provide hands-on, reflective art experiences for children of all ages onsite. Join us on July 17 and 24, 1-4pm near the Memorial to participate in these art activities, also free to the public.
