Science Fiction Landscape Workshop (6+)
Our new Innovators LAB workshop is designed by this month’s Artist in Residence, Catalina Bellizzi-Itiola (she/her) aka CATAPHANT. She is a San Diego-based designer and fine artist with a background in music who arranges shapes, textures, and human elements to create artwork that communicates spiritual and mental states of being. The moniker CATAPHANT is a combination of “Catalina” and “Elephant”, a nick name that stuck after being used as a musician name.
In this workshop, we invite you to challenge your creativity by making a sculpture exploring qualities of your personality! Participants will experiment with paper and make personal connections to their identity through shape and form, rhythm, and pattern.
Things to know before visiting the Innovators LAB:
The Museum will be closed on Thursday, 11/28; however we will be open every other day on Thanksgiving week from 9am-4pm, including Tuesday, 11/26. See you at NCM!
