Join us in celebrating Black History Month this February by creating your own African American-inspired abstract quilt in this pop up workshop by Mingei International Museum. Finding inspiration from the bold quilts created in African American communities in the Southern United States, experiment with colorful recycled fabrics and embroidery thread to craft a unique creation. This event is free with Museum admission and takes place in Innovators LAB at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
Masks are required for all guests (ages 2+) regardless of vaccination status. Mesh masks, neck gaiters and face shields are not accepted as mask substitutes. Click here to read our full Safer Play Policy before visiting the Museum.
