we offer discounted admission for high school and college groups to provide tools for our future educators, professionals, and leaders.

The Museum offers three different styles of tours, each emphasizing one component of the Museum motto; think, play and create! Select which type of tour best suits your classroom goals.

Please note that we are fully booked for guided tours (Create and Think) through May 2019. We have some small (25 person and under), self-guided (Play Excursion) tours still available in the spring 2019 season. If you are interested in these tours please submit your request and someone from our staff will follow up with you within 2 weeks. Thank you.

THINK tour

During this two-hour THINK tour with a Museum Teaching Artist, your group will get the chance to explore the current array of interactive and creative contemporary art installations. Students will participate in discussions that encourage inquiry-based thinking from original artworks. The tour is sure to inspire discussions that can connect to your curricula in visual art, social studies, science and history.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:30am, 10am-12pm or 1-3pm and Fridays from 1-3pm. Select weekends available.

SELF-GUIDED excursion

Two-hour SELF-GUIDED excursions offer groups the opportunity to explore the Museum’s variety of interactive exhibits at their own pace. Teachers and chaperones lead small groups of students through the spaces with a Museum-provided map and prompts. These self-guided excursions provide the opportunity for classroom curriculum-specific  discussions facilitated by the visiting educator. Teens and adults can play, too!

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm or 1-3pm and Fridays from 1-3pm. Select weekends available. Tuesdays are available in the summer season.
