The New Children's Museum is your destination for family classes that you won't find anywhere else. NCM values the whole child, and therefore supports healthy bodies and minds by providing class opportunities that allow families to take part in active and creative play. Learn a new skill, explore your musical side, or really get moving in a dance class! Classes are held in the Arts Education Center.
Learn to sign with your baby with baby sign language expert and author of the best-selling Baby Sign Language Basics series, Monta Briant. This innovative class teaches signing with music, games, and other interactive activities. Registration for the 6 week series includes handouts and Museum admission on the day of each class.

This Spanish immersion class for both parents and children will introduce the Spanish language through music, dance, and exercise. Learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, shapes, months and more all while enjoying Latin music, storytime and dancing. Space is limited, register today! Registration for the 7-week series includes handouts and Museum admission on the day of each class.

Experience music through exploration of drums and percussion instruments, movement, vocals, story telling (making sound effects with the instruments) and other activities. This engaging, interactive program provides foundational music experience, inspires creative expression, stimulates left-right brain integration, expands memory, facilitates language skills and spatial reasoning development, includes physical activity, fosters social skills, and more! RhythmWorx provides instruments for use during each session and no prior experience is necessary. Parents participate, too! Registration for the 6 week program includes use of instruments, all related supplies or materials, and Museum admission on the day of each class.
